We do not have polar bears in Juneau, but farther north in places like Barrow, Alaska, there are polar bears.

In Juneau we have many black bears. Some of us have had bears visit our yards, and there is a black bear that frequently visits the dumpster outside of our school. There are also brown bears in places around Juneau.
